2024 Strawberry Spin

Our annual club spin to Clarkes of Stamullen is Saturday next 29th June .We look forward to the generous Clarke family hospitality of delicious scones and as many strawberries as you can eat .

We will leave the Club at 9am sharp so please arrive 10 mins earlier so we can organise groups.

There are two routes with the route via Nevitt being more leisurely and the route via Ardcath being a bit more pacy and not totally pan flat 🙄

Clarke’s Nevitt Strawberry Spin 76km 520m https://ridewithgps.com/routes/39815003 Out through Cloghran, turning onto quiet country roads after Swords. Past Ballyboughal Airfield and through the Nevitt crossroads. Onward, singled out on narrow roads and over the shoulder of Knockbrack. Descend from shoulder (29.5km) cautiously to the Bog Road and take the left. Cross the Balbriggan Road and cycle singled out again to the Stamullen Road. Take a left and Clarke’s is less than 700m ahead on your right (37.4km). Leaving Clarkes turn right, then left to climb to Snowtown and down steeply to Naul and back through Oldtown and St. Margarets.

Clarke’s Ardcath Strawberry Spin 83km 637m https://ridewithgps.com/routes/47198787 Out the back of the airport to Kilshane Cross and on to Coolquay. Take the right turn and up to Garristown and Ardcath. On to Clatterstown, taking the right onto Newtown Road and on to Clarke’s (48.3km) on the left and 500m beyond the Bellewstown-Naul crossroads. Leaving Clarkes turn right, then left to climb to Snowtown and down steeply to Naul and back through Ballyboughal and Stockhole Lane.
